Data Acquisition

At GIX Consulting, we offer versatile data acquisition options to cater to a range of requirements. Our capabilities include:

Drone-based Data Collection:

We operate drones equipped with sensors to gather:

  • LiDAR Data: Precise distance measurements to capture detailed 3D representations of terrains and structures.

  • Hyperspectral Data: Multi-wavelength information capturing subtle variations in light reflection and absorption.

  • Optical Data: High-resolution visual imagery providing clear overhead views of areas of interest.

Public Data Sources:

In addition to our in-house data collection, we also access data from reputable public sources to complement our datasets or to cater to specific project needs including but not limited to those below.

  • Defra Datasets

  • Copernicus Multispectral satellite data

  • USGS data

  • Shuttle Radar Topography Mission satellite data

Our focus is to provide accurate and reliable data to our clients, ensuring a comprehensive dataset for their analytical and operational requirements.

Hyperspectral

High-resolution Drone VNIR Hyperspectral Data: VNIR hyperspectral sensors capture data across both the visible and near-infrared spectrums. This granularity facilitates differentiation between spectral signatures, enabling potential species distinction and health assessments.

Optical

High-resolution Drone Optical Data: These optical sensors capture RGB images from an aerial perspective, furnishing clear, overhead visuals of the forest landscape.
